Scope

These terms apply to merchants using the Shopify app QReado. By installing the app you accept them. Shopify's terms for the App Store apply in addition.

Services

QReado creates, designs and prints QR codes for your store, redirects dynamic codes through short links, checks their destinations daily and analyses scans. The plans page in the app shows which features belong to which plan.

Plans and billing

The Free plan costs nothing. Plus and Premium are billed by Shopify in US dollars on your Shopify invoice, monthly or yearly. Plus can be tried free for 7 days, Premium for 30 days.

You can cancel or change your plan at any time through Shopify. Periods already paid are not refunded pro rata unless Shopify provides otherwise. We announce price changes at least 30 days in advance.

Dynamic codes and availability

Dynamic codes lead to their destination through a QReado short link. They work as long as QReado is installed in your store and the service is operated. We aim for uninterrupted operation but cannot guarantee constant availability, for example during maintenance or outages of our service providers.

After uninstalling, we delete your store's data as soon as Shopify asks us to (usually after 48 hours). Dynamic codes then show a notice page. Static codes contain their destination themselves and work independently of QReado. Test your codes before printing them in larger quantities.

Your content

You are responsible for the destinations and content of your QR codes. Not allowed are unlawful content, phishing, malware, misleading redirects, spam and infringing the rights of others.

We may block codes whose destination is reported as dangerous or breaks these rules. In case of serious or repeated violations we may end the use of QReado.

Aids without guarantee

Link check, scan safety, print size recommendation and scan statistics are aids. We cannot guarantee that they detect every problem or that every code can be read by every device, camera app, material and print quality. Scan counts are approximations: repeated scans and automatic previews are filtered out.

Please test your codes yourself with several phones before printing or distributing them.

Data and backups

We back up our systems to the best of our ability, but we do not owe you a backup of your data. Keep the files of your codes (PNG, SVG, PDF) yourself. With Premium you can also export your scan data as CSV.

If something is lost despite all care, for example through a technical error, the section “Liability” applies.

Translations

QReado is available in several languages. The texts of the app, these terms and the privacy policy were partly translated with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). They may therefore contain translation errors or imprecise wording. The German version is binding.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are only liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence. We are not liable for lost profits, printing costs or consequential damage, for example from codes that are temporarily unavailable, to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.

We are not liable for disruptions beyond our control, for example at Shopify, our hosting and domain providers, on the internet or through force majeure. The same applies to damage caused by wrongly entered destinations, deleted products or discounts, and codes that were not tested before printing.

Changes

We may adapt these terms. We announce material changes in the app in good time.

Governing law

Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Place of jurisdiction is the provider's registered office, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
